Lo que parece ser una torre renacentista italiana en pleno barrio de La Boca fue la usina de la Compañía Ítalo Argentina de Electricidad, creada por el arquitecto italiano Giovanni Chiogna, de acuerdo a la estética industrial de la época.

What appears to be an Italian Renaissance tower in the heart of La Boca neighborhood was the power plant of the Italian-Argentine Electricity Company, created by the Italian architect Giovanni Chiogna, according to the industrial aesthetics of the time.

Su construcción se concretó en tres etapas, desde 1916 hasta 1926, cuando se conformó el patio de acceso con la magnífica torre / reloj y una escalera artística.
