Inaugurado en 1938, este predio fue donado por el propio Benito Quinquela Martín, junto con los del Teatro de la Ribera, la escuela y el hospital.

Inaugurated in 1938, this property was donated by Benito Quinquela Martín himself, along with those of the Teatro de la Ribera, the school and the hospital.

Su objetivo fue crear un polo de desarrollo cultural, educativo y sanitario en el barrio de sus amores.

His goal was to create a center for cultural, educational and health development in the neighborhood of his love.

El museo te permite pasear por el atelier y la antigua vivienda del artista, y exhibe la más amplia colección de sus óleos, realizados entre 1922 y 1967, obras de las corrientes figurativas del arte argentino, desde fines del siglo XIX, y de otros artistas boquenses, y una de las colecciones más importantes de Latinoamérica de mascarones de proa.

The museum allows you to walk through the artist's atelier and former home, and exhibits the largest collection of his oil paintings, made between 1922 and 1967, works of the figurative currents of Argentine art, from the late nineteenth century, and other Boquenses artists, and one of the most important collections of Latin America of figureheads.
